Are you one of the millions of people who commonly says, “If only I had more time…” or ” If only I were more organized…”; ” There is no way I can get all this done” or “I need to get organized, but I don’t know where to start”?
With all that we have to do and the constant pressures of doing more, more, more, we find ourselves frustrated and stressed, wishing there was a magic wand to wave to get organized and get it all done! Well, I am unaware of the creation of any magic wand, as of yet. I promise I will keep looking and let you know when I find it! Until then, let’s look at the benefits of being more organized and a few false beliefs that may be standing in your way of having more time, reducing the clutter, and creating a more organized life.
If there is no incentive, than it is easy to talk ourselves out of doing things. If we take the time to understand and connect with some of the common benefits of being organized, it may make it easier to add getting organized to our To-Do or task list. (I personally think it needs to be the number one, top priority item on the list; in other words…do it first!)
Getting organized can be beneficial in various ways. I am sure some of these will resonate with you, and you can probably add many of your own personal benefits to this list:
- Become more focused on what you want to achieve – goals and dreams
- Manage your time more efficiently; be more productive, accomplish more
- Find things when you need them
- Reduce the number of last-minute time emergencies
- Reduce stress levels (which can contribute to health problems and illness)
- Look more professional, presenting a more positive business image
- Prioritization of your tasks
- Have increased peace of mind and a more balanced life
- Be more creative and energetic
- Enjoy life more and improve relationships
- Have MORE time to do more of what YOU want to do

We all have problems, and most of those problems are caused by false beliefs. We can have false beliefs about ourselves, about others, and about emotions we may harbor or entertain. These false beliefs get formed and stored in our consciousness during the course of our lives. They will cause us to act or NOT act, because we are convinced or buy into the fact that they are true. I hope to help you change your mindset regarding some false beliefs you may have about getting organized.
